Bangsa ini perlu ada Karakteristik dan Etika, Bangsa ini tidak lupa dan tidak boleh melenceng pada Undang-undang 1945 dan Pancasila. Karena itu adalah termaksuk Karakteristik dan ber-etika. Ketua Umum Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan menyatakan bahwa karakteristik dan jati diri Indonesia adalah moderat tengah sesuai dengan kesepakatan para pendiri bangsa dalam mewujudkan kemerdekaan.

Kata Zulkifli bila mana bangsa ini nhilangnya jati diri ini akan membawa kehancuran. “Itulah karakteristik jati diri Indonesia, moderat tengah,” kata Zulhas, sapaan Zulkifli Hasan, dalam Pidato Kebangsaan Ketua Umum Partai Politik Memperingati 50 Tahun CSIS Indonesia yang digelar secara virtual, Kamis.

Dia menjelaskan pada mulanya ada keinginan pihak tertentu untuk tampil sebagai wajah Indonesia. Namun pada akhirnya semua pihak sepakat untuk melakukan kesepakatan dengan penuh kerendahan hati dan bertemu pada titik tengah untuk mewujudkan kemerdekaan bersama. (henry/netty/mp/ant)
